"Once
you start, you can't bear to miss a teddy mystery."
-- Rita Mae Brown, New York Times best-selling author of
the Mrs. Murphy mysteries
“[A] fun series… Don’t be fooled by the teddy-bear theme. Lamb’s mysteries are full-bodied police procedurals.”
-- Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch
John
Lamb knows more about real murders than most of his fellow mystery
authors because he used to investigate them professionally. During
his distinguished eighteen-year career as a Southern California
cop, he served as a homicide investigator, hostage negotiator, and
detective sergeant. It's this unmistakable atmosphere of authenticity-and
his keen insights into human behavior-that make his mystery and
suspense novels so satisfying to read.
John is the author of the popular “Bear Collector” mystery series from Berkley Prime Crime. The other books in the series include The False-Hearted Teddy, The Crafty Teddy, The Clockwork Teddy, and The Treacherous Teddy, all of which debuted on the IMBA best-seller list. John’s other books include his debut mystery, Echoes of the Lost Order, and the nonfiction San Diego Specters. Click on the books icon to find out more about his books.
Along
with being a talented writer, John is also a riveting public speaker.
He's spoken at such diverse venues as the San Diego Museum of Man,
the Sleuthfest Mystery Author Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,
the University of San Diego, and the Malice Domestic mystery conference.
His "Homicide 101" lecture gets rave reviews. Click
